The Perks of Being A Festival Friend

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in the arts, and we see our Festival as an opportunity to bring enjoyment, inspiration, and conversation to our audiences.

As we countdown to our 48th year of Perth Festival of the Arts, we are mindful of the many amazing people who have made this incredible cultural event of ours possible.  From globally acclaimed artists to student interns, long-standing programmers (we’re looking at you Sandra!) to school orchestra members, volunteer directors and generous funders, our list of thanks is as long as it is worthy.

One group in particular though, deserve a huge shout out for their ongoing commitment to us. Our Festival Friends are people like you who choose to support the Festival by paying a small premium for early access to tickets and other benefits.  This funding supports our work as a registered Scottish charity – and helps us deliver ten fantastic days of culture in Perth City Centre, each and every year.

How your support helps us:

We hope you will agree that making the arts more accessible, and ensuring everyone can enjoy being part of an exciting event such as Perth Festival of the Arts – either as an audience member or as an artist – is an important cause.  We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to participate in the arts and see our Festival as an opportunity to bring enjoyment, inspiration, and conversation to our audiences.

Funding and donations such as your Friends membership, allows us to develop a wide range of shows each year and bring new arts experiences to as many people as possible. It helps us to engage high quality artists while keeping our ticket prices as accessible as we can to audiences.

Funding also enables us to organise several free events, particularly for children and young people. We have long-standing relationships with local schools, Scottish Opera and English Touring Opera which provide both performance and participation opportunities for young people of all ages.
