Information for Artists

Our 10-day arts festival aims to bring new arts experiences to Perth city in Scotland; experiences that entertain, create conversation and celebrate a diversity of the arts from artists around the globe.
If you're an artist or represent an artist, here are details of how we programme and how to get in touch with us.
About the Festival

Perth Festival of the Arts is now in its 51st year. We cover all art forms and feature international and national artists and orchestras from the worlds of classical music, opera, rock, pop, jazz, folk, comedy, theatre, dance, literature and the visual arts. We are all about top quality, bringing new arts experiences to the city of Perth, and celebrating the arts with people of all ages.

We feature big names, as well as supporting emerging talent in Scotland. We use a number of performance spaces thoughout the city, from a state-of-the-art Concert Hall with capacity of 1,600, to a beautiful Edwardian theatre auditorium, a studio theatre perfect for small live music gigs or plays, and several of Perth's historic churches.

As we only run for 10 days, we like to feature different events and concerts each day so tend to only programme one performance of each type of event.

When do we programme?

Our Festival runs for 10 days each May. Our 2023 dates are Thu 18 to Sat 27 May 2023. You can see future dates here.

As one Festival finishes, we begin to programme the next, although we always have an eye a few years ahead. The majority of our programming takes place between August and February. Our full programme is launched in March each year.

How to get in touch

Our Festival Committee makes decisions on our final programme. Our Festival Administrator is the first point of contact to explore any suggestions or ideas.

If you have an offering that would be a great fit for our festival, do feel free to get in touch and send us details. Reviews, videos, website and social media details are really helpful to us at an early stage.

Due to the volume of artist suggestions we receive, it is not always possible to respond to everything directly (particularly circulars), but we will get in touch where we think there's a great match.
