Creative Futures is a project supporting young people in Perth & Kinross to develop skills in the creative industries and explore creative career pathways.

If you're interested in music, art & photography, dance, drama, film & TV, design or any other creative industry, explore our new online resource which shares opportunities for skills development, volunteering and work experience locally and across Scotland.

You can filter results using criteria e.g. 'music' or 'work experience'. 

You can also find links relating to further and higher education and other helpful resources.

Get involved in one Scotland's leading arts Festivals in the heart of Perth and put your creativity and skills into practice!

Perth Festival of the Arts has an exciting opportunity for S4-S6 pupils from Perth & Kinross secondary schools with an interest in music or visual art to join us as our 2027 Arts Advocates.

Gain valuable work experience alongside the Festival team and artists as you develop your skills in the creative industries, while promoting Festival free tickets for young people in your school community.

Young Ambassadors

Perform in Perth logo

Perform in Perth is an annual festival of music, speech and dance in March. If you're between 12 and 25 and have participated in Perform in Perth, you're encouraged to become a Young Ambassador, giving opportunities to develop your confidence and skills an experience for university personal statements and job applications.

There are lots of ways to get involved: from supporting and encouraging the entry of a new participant in Perform in Perth; to being a volunteer steward; or actively promoting the festival.

Free Creative Technology Space

Featuring laser cutting, 3d printing, film and photography, a recording booth, drawing tablets, and more, our Creative Technology Space (Y Innovate) is a great place to get hands on with professional level equipment and see what sparks your interest. Our staff are happy to help you take your first steps with our equipment, or support you with larger projects. We’ve had multiple groups of young people run micro businesses from the space as well, so come along and chat to us about your big ideas!

Open Wednesdays 4-5.30pm and 6.30pm-8pm for just turning up, or lots of other times if you get in touch!
