Call for Community Chorus

Scots Opera Project is recruiting for a Community Chorus to star in its upcoming production of Mozart's The Magic Flute at Perth Festival of the Arts this May.

Call out for Community Chorus!

Do you enjoy singing and have experience of singing in a choir? Scots Opera Project is looking for local singers (aged 18+) of all voice types to sing in a community chorus starring in Mozart's The Magic Flute on the evening of Wednesday 22 and Sunday 26 May (matinee) in Perth Theatre as part of Perth Festival of the Arts.

A great opportunity to star in this groundbreaking production, learn new music and work with a cast of professional singers.

Singers from all disciplines are welcome - folk, musical theatre, choral, rock/pop or opera. You don't need to have any experience of being on stage and reading music is not essential. Support and guidance will be given by the team.

No auditions required. You must be able to attend seven rehearsals in Perth on:

  • Wednesdays 1, 8 and 15 May (6-9pm) - North Inch Community Campus
  • Sunday 19 and Monday 20 May (7-9pm) - Perth Theatre
  • Tuesday 21 May (6-9pm) - Perth Theatre
  • And a dress rehearsal before the first performance on Wednesday 22 May (2.30-5.30pm) - Perth Theatre

To register: Email Helen MacKinnon at Perth Festival on giving your name, voice type (soprano, alto, tenor or bass) and email address.

We hope that you can join us!
