Our relaxed jazz sessions continue on Sunday 31 May in Perth's favourite wine bar, La Cave a Vin (George Street).
Start the evening at 5.30pm with jazz piano and vocals from Perth's very own Michael Ellacott, followed by joyous, swinging music from the talented Tayside Jazz Quintet (6.30pm).
This new wine bar for the city has it all. It's cosy, modern, a good place for conversation, a great place for music, and an exceptional place for wine.

Tayside Jazz Quintet
Tayside Jazz Quintet are all members of the Tayside Big Band but wanted to do something different and perform some of the great jazz classics from across the genres. They perform a rich mixture of songs and instrumental numbers from Fats Waller in the 1930s to Amy Winehouse and Paul Simon taking in John Coltrane and Miles Davis along the way. This is a celebration of all jazz stars in all styles and joyous, swinging music that will surely get you on your feet.
The Festival set includes a large serving of latin vocal numbers from Brazil, a couple of smoky ballads and some bop instrumentals all in the TJQ relaxed but swinging style. Sax and vocals from band leader Neil Gibbons and on piano is Gordon Murch to set the scene. The anchor of swing is Graham Robb on bass, rhythm king is Andrew Fraser on drums and on guitar is rock star Gordon Baillie.
