Rising as a cult star on children’s television to becoming one of Britain’s best-known performers, Lenny has transformed from a Shakespearean Othello to a Harfoot in Amazon's Lord of the Rings, a druid in The Witcher, a grocer in his acclaimed Bush Theatre play and many more.  Behind the scenes, Lenny has become a diversity champion, successful children's author, philanthropist, and knight.

Lenny Henry has been a comedian since the age of 16. He rose from being a cult star on children’s television to becoming one of Britain’s best-known comedians, as well as a writer, philanthropist, and award-winning actor. Lenny’s on-screen credits include Missing You, Rings of Power, The Witcher: Blood Origin, Broadchurch, The Syndicate, The Long Song and the biographic film Danny and The Human Zoo. In theatre, Lenny has starred in The Comedy of Errors at The National, Fences at the Duchess Theatre, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui at the Donmar Warehouse, King Hedley II at Theatre Royal Stratford East and most recently made his playwright debut in his sell out play, August in England at the Bush theatre.

As a co-founder of Comic Relief, Lenny was delighted that over the last 30 years over £1billion has been donated to Comic Relief. Lenny is a strong advocate for diversity and has established a centre for Media Diversity, written two books on the topic and has a podcast. He was awarded a Knighthood in 2015 for services to drama and charity and has written two memoirs with Faber alongside a series of children’s books published through Pan Macmillan.He has also written and created a post Windrush TV drama called Three Little Birds for ITV/ITVX. Lenny recently set up a new drama production company Esmerelda in the pursuit of making exciting new work with diverse writers.

Fredhas successfully featured in and presented many programmes on TV: Still fondly remembered for co-hosting the BBC talk show McCoist and MacAulay and hosting a number of other shows over the years.

He has been a panelist numerous times on shows including: They Think It’s All Over, Mock the Week, QI and Have I Got News For You.

Fred was a guest on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson twice on US television and his performance at The Montreal Comedy Festival was shown coast to coast in North America.

Over the past two decades Fred has featured on many BBC Radio 4 comedy panel shows like: I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, Just A Minute, The Unbelievable Truth and The News Quiz and he had 4 series of his own Radio4 Series “Fred At The Stand”.

He lasted 7 out of 11 nights when he sang on Comic Relief Does Fame Academy. Further charity challenges saw him kayak the Caledonian Canal for Sport Reliefand he has climbed Mt Kilimanjaro to raise funds for Diabetes Research. His 6 day West Highland Waywalk was broadcaston STV.

InDecember 2021 Fred was one of the team of four who won one of the highest amounts ever (£116,000) for their chosen charities on ITV’s THE CHASE.

Fred has been a regular at The Edinburgh Fringe since 1989 and regularly tours his stand-up showsaround Scotland ......He’ll be touring again in autumn 2025 and Spring 2026 with his new show “No Podcast –LIVE!’A popular event host, Fred has worked for many national and international Companies which, along with his stand-up shows, has taken him to Canada, USA, Iceland, Spain, Sweden, France, Hong Kong and Australia.
