King Creosote will be playing pieces from the sound track “Scotland With Love” and his back catalogue.

From Scotland With Love, which featured in The Sunday Times, Loud & Quiet and MOJO’s year-end lists and which critics described as ‘a lovingly crafted thing’ (Independent on Sunday) and ‘consistently superb’ (Loud & Quiet – 9/10), was created in collaboration with director Virginia Heath and Producer Grant Keir as an audio-accompaniment to a poetic documentary film of the same name. Featuring archive footage from the National Library of Scotland Scottish Screen Archive, but no narration or interview, the film works around themes of love and loss, war, resistance, emigration, work and play, and is driven as much by the music as it is the images. For the first time King Creosote found himself being able to write from other people’s perspectives. The result is From Scotland With Love, one of King Creosote’s most widescreen cinematic and finest pieces of work to date.

‘It makes for an immersive, moving and, at times, truly magical window on the past.’ The Guardian - 4* live review

From Scotland With Love successfully and movingly unites past and present, old and new, sight and sound. Another diamond’: Uncut – 8/10

Hamish James Hawk is an Edinburgh-born singer-songwriter. Having spent the early years of his adult life in Fife's East Neuk, Hawk has gained his fair share of inspiration from salty harbour mornings and cobbled afternoons. His music's distinctive voice, however, is the result of these coastal experiences twinned with the late-night morning-after misery of an Edinburgh hangover. Hawk's debut album Aznavour was released in Spring, 2014, and is to be followed by a second release in Summer, 2015, with the generous mentorship of Kenny Anderson and his Alter Ego Trading Company.

'a prolific and idiosyncratic talent in his own right, armed with a suite of songs that are full of bittersweet laments and more lyrical nooks and crannies than the East Neuk coastline' - Nick Mitchell, WOW 24/7'
