Admiral Fallow's music has been described as "orchestral folk pop". The band has an unusual instrumental make up with clarinet, flute and occasional accordion augmenting the traditional  indie set up of guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. They also have 2 great vocalists in Louis Abbott and Sarah Hayes who sing songs of youth, teenage angst, boisterous nights out and even gun crime in America

The band finished 2012 very strongly. December saw them headlining a stage at Edinburgh's Hogmanay street party, selling out Glasgow Barrowland in a memorable "homecoming" gig and being presented with Creative Scotland's "Music Award 2012". The year had begun with the first of two extensive UK tours and had seen the release of their critically acclaimed 2nd album "Tree Bursts In Snow" (Uncut 8/10, Q 4****). The band also managed 2 weeks in Europe and 4 weeks in North America.

The Hazey Janes have undergone their fair share of globe-trotting since their first release, some 8 years ago. After recording LPs in Spain and America respectively, the band headlined throughout the UK, played support to the likes of Elbow, Idlewild and Snow Patrol, and made two trips to the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. 2012 saw them tour across Europe supporting Grammy award winning American band Wilco. New album ‘The Winter That Was’ (Armellodie Records) sees the band refining their zig-zag path from Country to Psych to Powerpop, with chunky chords, wistful lyrics and lush harmonies.
