An upbeat hour-long concert with Perthshire Brass in the outdoor plaza.The programme is an eclectic mix of genres, celebrating the versatility of the band and the virtuosity of the soloists. This concert is an opportunity to hear the band perform a mixture of old favourites and brand new arrangements by their own members, all guaranteed to get the feet tapping.
The members of Perthshire Brass are in the midst of their most successful spell in their almost 40 year history. Named Scottish 3rd Section band of the year for 2024, they were promoted to the 2nd section for 2025, and won the Scottish Championships at the first time of asking. This means another trip to the UK Finals in September, promotion to the 1st Section of Scottish banding, and an exciting year ahead. The youth band are reigning Scottish champions too. Throw in another trip abroad in 2026, and Perthshire Brass really are a band going places!

Pop into Perth Theatre for a coffee and a cake or a spot of lunch and enjoy a free Cafe Cabaret concert. The talented David Thomson sings popular songs from the world of the 20th Century and musicals, accompanied by Edna Auld, keyboard and Alan Laing, compère. (40 minutes show approx).

Join Perth's award-winning circus school Adventure Circus at St Paul's plaza and have a try at circus skills! Their expert performers will be on hand for you to try different skills such as hula hoop, juggling and lollipop. (Session runs from 1pm to 2.30pm - come along any time!). Ideal for ages 6+ (but not just for little ones!).

Starring singers of all ages and a variety of nationalities, Perth's very own Jambouree Choir presents a spectrum of songs from musicals, popular songs and from the world of opera in this free afternoon concert in the stunning surroundings of St John's Kirk.

Join Perth's very own drum and percussion group Rhythm Wave for a fabulous pop-up concert at Perth Festival of the Arts. Formed as an extra-curricular group in 1993! at UHI Perth by educator Dr Ronnie Goodman, Rhythm Wave is nowadays a community drum and percussion group that meets every two weeks at Findo Gask Church Hall, Perthshire. They perform at festivals, street events and stage shows and run community percussion workshops, having a very successful track record of performances including Glastonbury, T in the Park and Belladrum festivals.
